Staff details
I employ the following staff from my secretarial allowance:
Head of Staff, Research and Media Relations (full-time)
Constituency Secretary (full-time)
Brussels Parliamentary Assistant (full-time)
I employ my wife, Cynthia Beaver LL.B (Hons.), MA, MEd, MPhil, as Head of Staff, Research and Media Relations, who is paid within the £40,000 - £45,000 band.
I employ an accountant, who acts as my paying agent for PAYE, NIC, pension contributions and other deductions for my office staff
Together with all EPLP MEPs, I contribute to the salary of an additional staff member who is line managed by the EPLP Secretary General, who also acts as our service provider for this purpose.
From time to time, as the need arises, I employ a stagiaire (intern) in my Brussels or Strasbourg offices on short term contracts.
